Terri Stewart - Photographer |
|
|---|---|
| Terri Stewart was born in New Hampshire but has lived in Portsmouth, Virginia since she was a small child. Spending all of her school years in Portsmouth Public Schools, she graduated from Churchland High School. | |
| She began her journey into photography by taking pictures of the children of friends. Since then, her interests have spread to flowers and landscape photography. In the early days, Terri used 35 mm cameras but has since gone to a totally digital format. Her current camera is a Nikon D70. It is not unusual to find her wandering the countryside around Tidewater with a camera around her neck, looking for the next view that attracts her attention. | |
| Terri shoots her photographs with a Nikon D70 and downloads them directly into her computer utilizing Adobe Photoshop software to bring the images to life. Color and content are true to the original scene and adjustments made within the computer are limited to the same cropping and tonal work performed by film photographers in traditional, chemically based darkrooms. | |
| Once Terri is satisfied with the results, she prints each photograph, individually, on her wide format Epson 7800 inkjet printer using archival quality Ultra Chrome K3 ink and Premium Luster Photo Paper. The printed photographs are then mounted using acid-free foam board and hand cut 8-ply acid-free 100% cotton rag mat and rustic frames | |
